Jenni Heinser Named Women's Tennis Player of the Month
Jenni Heinser was named the 2008 WCC Freshman and Player of the Year after leading the Dons to a fourth place finish at the WCC Tennis Championships. Heinser went 5-1 during the month of April, including a 6-3, 6-3 win over No. 87 Pavla Mesterova of LMU in the WCC Championships. Heinser closed the month as the highest ranked WCC player on the circuit, checking in at No. 73 in the ITA listing.

USF Student-Athletes Honored for Academic Achievement
USF's Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) hosted its third annual Scholar-Athlete Banquet Sunday in the McLaren Center on the University of San Francisco campus. The night was a celebration of athletic and academic achievement.

Jenni Heinser Named WCC Player & Freshman of the Year; Hilary Somers Named WCC co-Coach of the Year
San Francisco's Jenni Heinser was named West Coast Conference Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year after helping the Dons finish fourth at the WCC Women's Tennis Championship last week. Heinser is the first netter in USF program history to receive either the Player or Freshman of the Year honors for women's tennis. Heinser is currently the highest ranked WCC player on the circuit, checking in at No. 79 in the ITA listing.
