SANTA CLARA, CALIF. - San Francisco women's tennis defeated Santa Clara, 5-2, in a dual last Saturday.

USF won seven of nine matches in the dual. The Dons swept the doubles with wins by Sarah Oudomvilay and Jennifer-Lee Heinser over Stephanie Galainena and Samantha Georgina, Mylene Martin and Jessy Mekpoh over Myra Davoudi and Lindsay McBride, and Emma Taylor and Jenny Sperry over Carmen Pham and Courtney Hull.

Heinser, Martin, Sperry and Mekpoh also scored wins in singles. Heinser topped Galainena, 6-1, 6-1. Martin defeated Davoudi, 6-3, 6-3 and Sperry bested Pham, 6-2, 6-3. At No. 6, Mekpoh defeated Hull, 6-4, 6-2.

West Coast Conference Championships begin this weekend, Friday, April 18, in Moraga, Calif. Match times and opponents are yet to be posted.
