THE STORYLINE: San Francisco (2-12-3, 2-4-0 WCC) finishes the 2007 season with a match versus the No.12 San Diego Toreros (14-2-3. 4-1-1 WCC) Saturday evening. THE SERIES VERSUS SAN DIEGO: San Diego leads the Dons, 11-4-0, in the all-time series between the schools. In San Diego, USF is 2-5-0. In last year's matchup, San Diego took a 2-0 victory over the Dons at Negoesco Field. USF's Chelsea Hunt led all players with six shot attempts including three on goal. The Toreros' Allison Wolters and Tara Hodgson accounted for San Diego's scoring. SCOUTING SAN DIEGO: Head Coach: Ada Greenwood Dominican College `97 Entering the season finale versus the Dons Saturday, No. 12 San Diego has won three straight matches. On Sunday, in a non-conference contest versus Cal State Fullerton, the Toreros won 1-0 behind a goal in the 71st minutes by junior Amy Epsten. San Diego's last conference match was a 3-1 victory over Saint Mary's last Friday. Epsten chipped in two goals against the Gaels. For her performance last week, Epsten was named to Soccerbuzz's Elite Team. Epsten leads San Diego with 12 goals on the season. Leigh Ann Robinson and Ashleigh Shoughro each have five goals for San Diego. Robinson also leads the Toreros with seven assists. Between the pipes, Brittany Cameron has made 75 saves and allowed 0.64 goals per game. San Diego was selected to finish fourth in the conference on the preseason coaches poll. LAST WEEKEND: The Dons went 0-1 last weekend in a match versus Santa Clara. VERSUS SANTA CLARA - An unassisted goal by Santa Clara's Kiki Bosio broke a 0-0 deadlock in the 58th minute to give the Broncos a 1-0 victory over San Francisco Sunday afternoon. Senior Fiona O'Sullivan (San Geronimo, Calif. / Sir Francis Drake HS), junior Katherine Kimure (Sunnyvale, Calif. / Homestead HS) and freshman Lauren Maris (Bellevue, Wash. / Issaquah HS) had two shots apiece to lead the Dons' attack. Bosio had the match-high with three. Overall the two teams were closely matched on shots with Santa Clara topping the Dons, 12-9. USF junior goalkeeper Katie Hodgson (Stockton, Calif. / Tokay HS) made four saves on the day. The Broncos' Meagan McCray had five saves between pipes in recording her sixth shutout of the year.
