SAN FRANCISCO - Falko Huettenberger was the lone San Francisco (8-4) men's tennis player to score in a 6-1 Dons loss to No. 71 Southern Methodist Friday afternoon at Pebble Beach.

Huettenberger topped SMU's Oivind Alver at the No. 5 singles position in three sets, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3.

USF also won doubles at the No. 2 slot as Thong Tu and Rainer Nachbauer defeated David Kuczer and Adham el-Effendi 8-6.

San Francisco competes against Cal on Sunday at 1 p.m. PDT at Pebble Beach.
