Fall 2006: Participated in the University of Pacific Tigers Fall Invitational reaching the singles final of the Flight C Bracket defeating Nevada's Gabe Kanzelmeyer 2-6; 6-1; 6-2 and University of Pacific's Ahad Ebrahim 6-2, 6-4 to advance to the final match where he fell to UC Davis' Daniel Elefant, the bracket's first seed.
At USF 2005-2006: Saw limited action during the spring season. Participated in the Santa Clara Bronco Classic, Wilson ITA Northwest Regional Championships, and Cal Poly invite during the fall of 2005.
Personal: Born on July 11, 1987 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Parents are Kevin and Vellynn Ching. Has been ranked #1 in Men's Open Singles and #2 in Men's Open Doubles in the USTA/Hawaii Pacific Section.Was the team captain for the Iolani High School Varsity Tennis Team and four year varsity letterman at Iolani as well as a four-time state qualifier for the Hawaii High School Athletic Association tournament. First team singles honors as a junior and senior. Member of Who's Who Among American High School Athletes for 2005. Enjoys, eating, surfing, laughing, and traveling to new places. His biggest role model is his younger sister Lauren. Is a graduate of Iolani High School and is currently a sophomore Political Science major.
