One coach was bubbling over with joy; the other was graceful if frustrated in defeat. But both agreed on one thing: they were happy to have brought pro-level soccer to the community of Novato.

The University of San Francisco upset the expansion California Victory in front of a packed house at San Marin High School's Mead Field. The loss is just the second of the Victory's exhibition season - its only other loss came against the Los Angeles Galaxy of Major League Soccer.
