AT LONG BEACH COMMUNITY COLLEGE (2005-2006): Turned in a dominant sophomore campaign on the mound, posting a 16-0 record with a 1.48 ERA... recorded three complete games, three shutouts and 90 strikeouts... batted .341, with eight doubles, two home runs, 29 RBI and 26 runs... during first full season as a pitcher, tallied nearly a strikeout per inning (66.1 IP / 62 Ks) and compiled an even more impressive 3.6 to 1 strikeout/walk ratio... hit .345 with six doubles and two homers.

PREP CAREER: Played four years of baseball at Millikan HS (3) and Long Beach Poly (1)... All-League selection as a sophomore and senior, second team as a junior... also played two years of football.
